Musical Notes

So I know that I haven’t made a post yet, so here goes my first. One of my current favorite bands is Avenged Sevenfold. In my opinion, many of the bands today have one or two talented members, but to me A7X is the full package. Since I started playing guitar at 13, I have always been drawn towards playing lead. Some of my favorite guitar heroes include Eddie VH, Kirk Hammet, Dimebag (RIP) and of course Synyster Gates. While Dimebag has inspired my choice of electric guitars (I currently have 4 electric and 2 acoustic guitars,) Gates is just ridiculous. I swear he has 11 fingers per hand and all double jointed. So you say, what about Satriani or Vai or even the DragonForce duo, Li and Totman? Yes, all excellent choices, but hey, this is my post. If you want an opinion, write your own post. My choice of music has even been passed down to two my little boys. Every time that we get in the car, they ask to listen to Shepherd of Fire. And we do, every time. Of course, all three of us sing loudly, giggle and all around make fools of ourselves. My oldest is learning guitar and while he doesn’t share my preference in music, he will eventually be a rockstar. His current axe is a BC Rich Celtic Virgo. Very cool. I don’t know all the technical ins and outs of all sound equipment, but I like to jam out and write some of my own music. My current setup is a Fender 300W Tube amp, Boss Heavy Metal pedal and a black Razorback V. I like Dunlop 0.88mm picks and Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings. If you have any questions about my taste in music, my recording equipment, or just want to tell me that my opinion sucks, write me. I will happily entertain all compliments and ignore all naysayers.
