TMAR Challenge of the Week

Today’s Challenge should be simply for most of our followers; well..... one would think

How many of the 50 States can you label on a map?

Challenge: Print the map, set a 20min timer, and label as many states as you can before you run out of time.

Rules: NO CHEATING! No you cannot go and look at the map before you start.

TMAR Results so far:

First Place - Sunshine with 41 correct

I gave him TEXAS which he labeled "Biggest and coolest State". I gave him Oklahoma which he labeled "Texas Hat". I gave him Florida which he labeled "White Trash"

Second Place - Its a Tie between Barbie and myself (Precious) with 39 correct

When grading Barbie decided to label the north east states (the small ones) 1,2,3,4,etc... and then had a key on the side. As I was grading I noticed this but did not check the key as I was going to come back to it. I was very impressed for two reasons. 1) He was the only person to do this as everyone else tried drawing lines and arrows. and 2) well I Thought he knew them. Turns out the key says, "1. Dont Care, 2. Dont Care, 3. Dont Care, and so on....

Third Place - 2PL8$ with 36 correct

To be honest I expected more from 2PL8$ as i think we can all agree he is one of the most intellectual people we know. He got New Mexico and Arizona backwards for Christ sake! But in all fairness he realized this fault along with several others after his 20min time went out. If there is ever a round 2, I expect big things from this guy.

Fourth Place – Wocka Wocka with 35 ½ correct

How do you get half a state correct you ask? Well he got West Virginia right but decided if there is a West there has to be an East right? Since he is the only one from the party who is not actually from the United States I decided to give him this one so in reality he made 36.
